Kappa Sigma introduced the Military Hero's Campaign in 2007 in an effort to aid the thousands of wounded veterans and their families across the nation. Since the founding of our organization's philanthropy, we have raised over $500,000 for servicemen and women. Charitable organizations that we have benefited in the past include; The Fisher House Foundation, The Wounded Warriors Project, The Navy SEAL Foundation, and more. We are proud of our support and wish to continue to raise efforts to benefit the men and women who have protected our country.
So far this semester, the brothers of our chapter hosted our first ever Cardboard Campout. During so, we raised over $600 to aid the Wellhouse of Grand Rapids while raising over 300 pounds of non-perishable food to be donated to Feeding America of West Michigan. Brothers camped out for the entire day in a cardboard fort to raise awareness for the homeless members of our communities of which we support. We would like to continue our charitable work and are pushing to reach a goal of $1,500 contributed to philanthropy this semester. By purchasing a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup you can help us achieve this!
Please take the time to invite your friends to our Facebook event to spread the word.
If you are unable to purchase a Reese's Cup at these times or from a brother, please still show support by donating. We will be accepting any amounts of monetary donations and any contribution helps. To do so, please visit our GoFundMe.
