2. Social Opportunities

As Kappa Sigmas, we place an emphasis on social relations with other Greek and non-Greek organizations at Grand Valley. Throughout the semester, we host various socials and events with different organizations on campus to establish ties with the community and further expand our social circle.  Our chapter asks that each member choosing to stay actively involved in Kappa Sigma must also participate in an outside campus organization to strengthen the value of leadership in our fraternity and friendships on campus.

4. Leadership

Our organization prides itself in developing leaders not only within Kappa Sigma but also in the campus community here at Grand Valley. By striving to become the best, our members understand the necessary commitment that must be demonstrated in order to excel following graduation.  At a local level, members are encouraged to participate actively on committee boards or even serve as an officer if they choose to do so. Nationally, Kappa Sigma further expands upon member's leadership development by providing all members opportunities  to attend seminars at events such as Grand Conclave, Leadership Convention, and many other district or regional conventions.

6. Alumni Relations

Brotherhood is a lifetime commitment; therefore, we encourage strong alumni-undergraduate relationships for the mutual benefit of the students and the alumni. As a volunteer driven organization, volunteer alumni are directly involved in coaching and mentoring our undergraduates at the local level. Their involvement in all aspects of the professional development of our members has helped Kappa Sigma produce some of the finest young leaders our Fraternity has ever seen.

1. Brotherhood

The creation of lifelong friendships is a primary benefit of Fraternity membership. Kappa Sigma fulfills the need of students to belong to an extended family and frequently provides the opportunity to enhance those personal relationships through group living situations. Brotherhood is a lifetime commitment and we have an obligation to have a caring concern for the well-being of our members. Our brotherhood is a pillar of which every member may lean on when they are down or stand from to excel in situations past their personal expectations.

3. Academic Success

Kappa Sigma helps you excel in the classroom and has existed to promote scholarship among its members. At the chapter level, Brothers help you learn about the campus, provide advice on professors and classes and help make your experience as a student at Grand Valley the best it can be. We, as Kappa Sigma's are dedicated to the betterment of our own education first and foremost. That is why we provide study table opportunities, 1-on-1 tutoring from brothers who have excelled in the classroom, or guidance on professors, classes, and work.
